What made you want to build a tiny camper?

I’m going to go live in BC, Whistler and needed an affordable way to live and to be able to travel whenever I wanted.

What was your experience level with the skills required to build a camper (wood working, electrical, metal work, etc.) when you started?

I’m a carpenter.

What was the first step in your build?

Finding someone to build me the trailer frame.

What was your favorite part of the build?

Probably making the cabinets.

What was the most difficult part of the build?

I would say the organization, having to think about all the thing at the same time.

How long did it take you?

It took me 4 months by weekend.

If you're comfortable sharing, what was the total cost of the build?

Approximately 10k.

Would you do anything differently?

Not currently.

What has been the best part of owning a tiny camper?

Travelling!

Any tips for someone that wants to build a tiny camper but doesn’t know where to start?

Just start and you’ll figure out things when it’s time to, don’t overthink.

How did using Wander Tears DIY plans and having the resources provided affect your build process and time?

It helped a lot during the woodworking phase, to not have to create the plans and everything saves you a lot of time.
