Getting There

Latitude/Longitude: 42.483483 N, 96.404772 W

From I-29, take US-77 S/Wesley Parkway S. After 0.6 miles, turn left onto W 6th Street/Riverview Drive. In 0.6 miles the campground entrance will be on your left.

Pros:

  • Right off of I-29. Great place to stop over while traveling through this part of the country!

  • Lots of amenities! Did someone say hot shower and an actual toilet?!

  • On the River. This campground may be in a city, so seclusion isn’t exactly what you’ll find. But being on the water makes the area feel so much more open!

Cons:

  • It’s an RV park. Now, this may not be a con for you, but we prefer camping off the grid or in campsites with plenty of trees to separate parties.

Our Experience

Heading back from the wild west, we were looking for a nice spot to make camp for the night, without going too far off our route. Scenic Park RV campground came up on the GPS at the perfect time of day and was only a couple of miles from I-29.

The sites were big, and we paid a little extra to snag on the river. We met a lot of RVers who were very amused by our tiny teardrop!

Scenic Park RV Campground ended up being the perfect stop for what we needed.
